Information about completed measures along the road, pedestrian and bicycle networks provides data on road conditions and the durability and expected lifespan of structures.
The customer’s existing data is utilised as the baseline for the condition survey. Even if the customer is lacking or missing data, it is still possible to draft a successful Kuntokierre programme.
Marjetas drafts its condition surveys in accordance with the guidelines of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities. The condition survey enables for the determination of the condition of the roadways and pedestrian and bicycle networks as well as the amount of the maintenance backlog.
Based on the condition survey, we carry out further measurements, such as ground penetrating radar surveys and carrying capacity surveys for a specific target group. The target group for further studies is generally about 10% of the entire network.
We draft a preliminary reparation budget together with the customer. The budget is processed by the governing municipal bodies, who determine the requirements for savings targets.
The specific roads and pedestrian and bicycle routes to be included in the Kuntokierre process are selected. A repair measure report and cost savings calculations are drawn up for the sites in question.
A detailed plan of the sites is included in the project plan.
The road-specific maintenance manual details the repairs and maintenance performed on the road and the related costs.
The specific site plans include public procurement documents drafted in accordance with the instructions of the procuring entity and the relevant legislation.
The contractor carries out repair work on the roadways and pedestrian and bicycle routes in accordance with the set plan.
We’ll carry out an analysis of the results in accordance with our service commitment, monitoring the changes to the condition of the roadways and pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as to the maintenance backlog.
